HE5 & Yang Mi-Ran - Soul Sound

After such a lengthy hiatus from Here to Hear, it's a bit of a challenge to start posting again. As a point of departure, this is the first record in the pile next to the turntable.

He Soul Sound
These are the only words in English on the cover, aside from RECORD at the bottom. There's a lot of text in Korean, and a great mid-60's photo of a two girls singing. Actually and even better, it is the same woman in mirror image. She is looking out in the viewer's direction, but up a little bit, just over our heads, with one outstretched arm which heads off the cover in either direction. The short sleeve of her bold print shirt almost brushes against its flip side counterpart in the middle. There is green font between her heads, clear blue font at the top, part of which is the English, red font across her midsection, and a little more clear blue at the bottom. There is also smaller text splashed about that's in black. Nice dynamic cover and the music is good, too.

The five musicians are shown on the back and they look hip in wide black belts, turtlenecks, and button-down shirts in cotton blend. And guess what? Music blogs and the Internet being what they are today, I Googled the English words and immediately found a blog that has a Rapidshare of it. But Music, Peace, and Love to the World knows nothing about the group, either, except to call it Korean Psych Progressive Rock. Maybe you know a bit more, though, and then you'll write me and tell me all about it, and then I can post the information and also tell my roommate about it, since this is his record.
